Michael and his family have recently moved into a house, and things are going poorly: Michael is struggling at school, his little sister was born prematurely and suffers from a heart defect that could cost her life. Then there's the emaciated man who lives in the old shed in the family's garden. He demands beer, aspirin, and Chinese food from Michael. But there is more to this man than Michael realizes.
