As a coastal dweller, there is much to do: drinking tea, sailing, speaking in the local dialect - all while dressed in the iconic yellow East Frisian raincoat and matching rubber boots. This image of my fellow countrymen is deeply rooted in the minds of many Germans. But what is true about the rumors surrounding "the East Frisians"? In 70 pages, I describe and illustrate their most important characteristics and humorously question existing clichés. After all, rubber boots can also be red.
