Morning and evening prayers of the Church from the celebration of the Liturgy of the Hours for the Catholic dioceses of the German-speaking area. In collaboration with the Permanent Commission, the liturgical institutes have published this edition as a Little Book of Hours. The Little Book of Hours is edited in accordance with the authentic edition for use by laypeople. The introduction is by Balthasar Fischer. The translations of the scripture readings, biblical canticles, and psalms are part of the approved unified translation of the Holy Scriptures for use in the liturgy by the bishops of the German-speaking area.
