Adorno once wrote, and Georg Winter uses this sentence in the summer of 2012 as a springboard for the awarding of the 11th Hans Molfenter Prize by the city of Stuttgart, setting up an exhibition at the Stuttgart Art Museum with several action spaces as EPSY (Epicenter for Psychomotorics, Performance, Interaction). Since the 1990s, Georg Winter has built a complex web of various performative groups that he has temporarily initiated and instructed anew, drawing from his work on two other focal points that rightly identify him as an artist of traditional media. On one hand, these are the unique woodprints in preparation for the models of the UCS (Ukiyo Camera Systems), and on the other hand, the models of the UCS that he has produced himself as black-lacquered wooden modules.
