Once upon a time, there was a tender little village called Suleyken, located somewhere and nowhere in Masuria, accessible - as is well known everywhere and can be read in these stories - by a narrow-gauge railway named Popp, although it is more comfortably reached through the imagination. The former, once powered by a proud man named Dziobek, no longer runs the route from Suleyken through Schissomir, Sybba, Borsch, Sunowken to Striegeldorf and back due to various adversities. However, the latter flourishes - as everyone knows and can once again experience here - cheerfully despite the passage of time. Thus, we not only witness great events and Titus Anatol Plock, the owner of a new pair of trousers and the eighth son of the widowed Jadwiga Plock, but also the duel in a short sheep's wool coat and Adolf Abromeit. And we encounter not only Hamilkar Schass, once a hero of the Kulkaker Fusiliers, but also the Tantch.
