In an incredibly short time, Frankfurt experienced a renewal 100 years ago: Within five years after 1925, more than 10,000 apartments were created in several settlements. City planner Ernst May was in charge. However, he and his team aimed for more than just construction. Their project, Neues Frankfurt, sought to transform society - from the role of women to culture and economy. The font Futura is a testament to this, as is the Frankfurt kitchen.
