Product details

The Fontanapark is a popular public garden in the heart of Chur. Named after the freedom hero Benedikt Fontana (circa 1450-1499), the park, which was established around 1730 and has been redesigned several times, was restored to its baroque form by landscape architect Guido Hager in 2006 and reinterpreted with rose and herb plantings. In the summer of 2012, Fontanapark became a place of art: sculptures by renowned sculptor Hans Josephsohn serve as the starting point for the exhibition. Currently, much-discussed Swiss artists are incorporating themes from garden art into installations specially developed for the park—such as the mythical Arcadia, the cultivation of plants, or the interplay between nature and art. The artworks engage park visitors, who can relax while walking, chatting, or playing. Judith Albert's contribution is presented as a multi-page image insert.
