Social justice has always been a controversial topic. In light of the growing gaps in justice and increasing legitimacy problems, it is more relevant today than ever. Social justice is not a secondary issue, nor is it merely an ethical or moral problem. Rather, the future viability of (post-)modern democracies and economic systems will largely be determined by the question of social integration. There is an urgent need for action in this regard, as the authors of this book reveal through numerous policy areas and concrete examples.
