Product details
Gabriel Stängle investigates how students at a secondary school perceive the processes of social learning and how the most commonly used life skills program in Germany, "Growing Up," affects social competencies. Using Grounded Theory, the author identifies five types of adolescents that can be distinguished based on their knowledge and application of social skills: the Power-Conscious, the Autonomous, the Ambivalent, the Self-Confident, and the Competent. Gabriel Stängle demonstrates how students relate the competencies they have acquired to their values and beliefs. The study contributes to the better implementation of social learning programs in schools, particularly in religious education.
