Sociological questions relate both to the questions that sociology poses to itself and to the questions that are posed to it. Pierre Bourdieu never concealed that the self-questioning and external questioning of sociology, and thus its reflexivity, represent a fundamental aspect, if not "the" essence, of his sociology. Only when the sociologist is aware of what he is investigating and what he is talking about, especially in what context and from what perspective, is there a chance that sociology will not degenerate into social technology and can contribute to the realization of still unfulfilled demands and promises of the Enlightenment. The texts, interviews, and lectures gathered in this volume go beyond the respective presentation and analysis of their topics – to the sociology of intellectuals, language and market, political opinions.
