The law for the reform of trademark rights allows companies to protect colors as part of their corporate identity since 1995. Purple/Violet was registered as the first color trademark in connection with chocolate at the trademark and patent office. Since then, more and more companies have been competing for the claim to intellectual property rights to "their" colors. The artist book showcases 72 color trademarks that have been reproduced in special colors.
