Product details
"Vision in Motion," the last book by László Moholy-Nagy, was published posthumously in 1947, a year after his death in Chicago. It serves as an extension of the legendary publication "The New Vision," which was released in 1938 and relates to the teaching methods of the Bauhaus in Dessau. "Vision in Motion" was created at the Institute for Design in Chicago and provides insight into the work of the institute that Moholy-Nagy led. In his book, he employs an interdisciplinary approach, using exemplary images and his own texts to explain the interplay between art and technology. "Vision in Motion" reads today like a visual school of the first half of the 20th century, encompassing all artistic processes that have influenced film, photography, painting, literature, and even the sciences. After 65 years, László Moholy-Nagy's groundbreaking work is being published again.
