The second, revised edition of "The History of Botany" describes the evolution of botany from Aristotle through Linnaeus to the end of the 20th century in over 20 chapters. The focus of the presentation is on the biographical appreciation of outstanding researchers in this field. The main part of the work is supplemented by an extensive notes section that includes precise source references, bibliographically complete citations of the original works, and references to biographies. Numerous illustrations provide a clear overview in an illustrative manner.
