Statistics is like the city of New York – you either love it or hate it. But what does this observation have to do with the present book? Over the past few decades, geography has shifted from a country-focused perspective and has expanded with numerous focal points and approaches, such as the implementation of geotechnological methods, GIS and remote sensing, modeling natural phenomena, or social geography issues. For many aspects, knowledge of statistics is required. How can we inspire students in this field, which is often met with respect or even aversion since school? Unlike technological or mathematical content, all geographers share a passion for one aspect: the love of travel. So why not explore this?.
