This volume is the immediate continuation of Volume 9 and is dedicated to the rest of the Chlamydophyceae. Additionally, a small group of gloeomorphic Chlorophyceae, the Gloeodendrales, is presented in the appendix, as they connect the Dunaliellales in Volume 9 with the Chlorellales and Protosiphonales of the subsequent Volume 11 as a capsale organizational level of the Chlorophyceae. The gloeomorphic Tetrasporales and the cystomorphic Chlorococcales are discussed among the Chlamydophyceae. All taxa are listed under the names given to them by their authors, even if they cannot be clearly delineated in the identification key and appear only as groups there. Recently, these algae have gained prominence as subjects of soil biology, agricultural and forestry sciences, environmental protection, and general biology.
