Product details
The Annaberg Crested Hen is a domestic chicken breed that was developed in 1957 in Annaberg, located in the Ore Mountains. The founding breeds were the Chabo, the Silkie, the Brabanter, and the Appenzeller Spitzhaube. This breed is only found in Germany and is very rare there. This light land chicken is characterized by its impressive appearance, featuring tufted feathers and a crested head. The tufted effect is quite unusual among chicken breeds, as it is combined with a crest that widens slightly at the top. The tufted look is created by a slight backward curl of the feathers.
