BeckerCAD is a CAD program from Data Becker, whose range of functions covers areas such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architecture, building technology, and hobbies. It supports 3D drawing. The program BeckerCAD 5.0 is compatible with the CADdy++ product series from DataSolid GmbH. BeckerCAD runs on Windows 7, Vista, XP, Windows 2000, and NT. The current version of BeckerCAD is BeckerCAD 7. A simple 2D CAD system is a vector-oriented drawing program. A technical drawing created with it, like one made on paper, primarily consists of lines. Straight lines or the two points that describe them are therefore the basic objects in a CAD system. Circles, ellipses, polylines, or even splines are also included.
