Product details
Acadia (present-day Eastern Canada) in the mid-18th century. The English and the French are engaged in a bitter war over the colony. The orphan boy Jack is deported by the English to Florida, where he becomes a cabin boy on a British frigate transporting slaves. After a mutiny, the mutineers free all the slaves and seek refuge on a Caribbean island. However, the ship's commander is relentlessly pursuing them, as the leader of the mutiny, Lucky Roberts, has taken his daughter hostage. An adventure story set against a historical backdrop, beautifully illustrated in watercolor by Patrick Prugne. Includes stunning sketches in the appendix.
