Attending a girls' school towards the end of the 1960s is already challenging enough. However, being confined in a Catholic boarding school in Italy, under the strict supervision of bigoted nuns, is truly tough. This is how young Esmera feels, especially from the moment she realizes that her body is developing and changing. But who can she talk to about it, and from whom can she seek explanations and advice? Certainly not from the bigoted nuns, and any form of enlightenment is stifled in awkward stammering and embarrassing silence. The only option left is to cautiously explore on her own and exchange thoughts with her best friend—until Esmera makes a fantastic discovery: she is capable of experiencing both the female and male sides of pleasure in her own body!
