It doesn't seem far-fetched that in the near future, just sixteen families will have divided the entire world among themselves, relegating the rest of humanity to "servants" and "trash." To secure their wealth and power, each of these families keeps a genetically modified "Lazarus," who is nearly unbeatable and practically immortal. Greg Rucka has written a gripping end-times drama, and Michael Lark has created cool, unflinchingly clear visuals for it. It's no surprise that "Lazarus" was nominated for the Eisner Award for "Best New Series" in 2014.
