For 400 million years, all kinds of species have been allowed to evolve happily. All except one: the crab Simplicimus vulgaris, also known as "the square crab." This subspecies of crustaceans inhabits the shores of the Gironde estuary and has been afflicted with a strange flaw for millennia: it can never change direction and is doomed to walk in a straight line forever! However, on a perfectly ordinary summer day like any other, while vacationers enjoy the sun and their paid time off, three little square crabs suddenly start to rebel, disrupting the entire ecosystem! With his satirical short film "La Révolution des Crabes," shot in 2004, Arthur de Pins won 54 awards; the also award-winning comic trilogy "March of the Crabs" is based on this film.
