John Bolton, a multiple Eisner Award-nominated winner, is already a legend in his lifetime, an icon of fantasy. His distinctive and incredibly versatile style, which ranges from photorealism to abstract black-and-white play, covers the entire spectrum of comics, allowing him to collaborate with numerous giants of horror—from Sam Raimi to Clive Barker. His latest work, "Shame," is a dark fairy tale about a world inhabited by bizarre creatures that is nonetheless frighteningly similar to our own. It is a highly complex late work and possibly Bolton's most beautiful piece.
