Aaron McBride is back. He had been missing for twenty years. Now, the sudden appearance of the visibly confused old man, seemingly out of nowhere, right in the middle of a women's clothing store, is causing quite a stir. It's also strange that he doesn't ask for the time or the day, but primarily inquires about the current year. Soon, Queen Victoria herself feels compelled to enlist Holmes in the search for McBride, who has immediately gone into hiding again. Holmes had actually given up investigating after the fatal confrontation with Moriarty and his accomplice Taher Emara in the battle for the Necronomicon. However, turning down the Queen is not an option for him, especially since London is in danger. This threat to the city may come from a completely different direction than Holmes expected.
