Two young women are rummaging through a flowerbed at the Crystal Palace during the first Great Exhibition, and what they unearth is horrifying: a dead baby. This serves as a cynical proof of how influential circles in London in 1851 deal with anything that disturbs them. And these two women increasingly become a burden to certain gentlemen. So, an attempt is made to simply "dispose" of them as well. A fatal mistake, as this sows the seeds for a murderous revenge that targets not only the unscrupulous men of the past but also the underlying attitude, an entire caste, an empire that is accustomed to trampling over others - even to this day.
