Stephen King's mammoth work is taking over the big screens in February 2017 as a franchise blockbuster. Stephen King's fantasy series "The Dark Tower" consists of eight volumes, making it the largest work in the extensive collection of novels by the bestselling author. Accordingly, there was great excitement when the news spread that Sony Pictures was planning a multi-part film adaptation, similar to "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy. In February 2017, the first part of the franchise blockbuster will indeed be released in theaters worldwide, featuring Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey in the leading roles. Equally extensive is the comic series based on "The Dark Tower," which, with the collaboration of Stephen King, independently continues the story of the Dark Tower universe. Fourteen volumes have already been published.
