In this book, and for the foreign language teacher, the speech rhythm refers to the dynamic-temporal organization of spoken language. This organization has its unique characteristics in each language, the roots of which are specifically examined in Russian and German. Equidistant (isochronous) accents were rarely observed in both languages. However, evidence of rhythmic composition was found in certain text types. The rhythmic groups in such texts are characterized by their syllable count as well as the number and position of the accents. It is demonstrated that the use of rhythmic structures depends on emotional tension and that there are frequency relationships with syntactic forms. Thus, this book contributes to foreign language methodology.
