The present 7th volume of the German-speaking Society for Intraocular Lens Implantation continues the series of previous volumes and once again provides the latest and most practically useful information for anterior segment surgeons in ophthalmology. This volume thus becomes a frequently consulted and cited source for issues related to cataract and corneal surgery. The volume is thematically structured and also addresses peripheral areas such as peri- and postoperative inflammation as well as pharmacological and anesthetic questions. However, the main focus is on surgical methods and the new mono- and multifocal lens types. Initial results from studies using the excimer laser are also presented.
