This anthology examines the lives and professional roles of female scientists in the (pre-)last century, as well as the historiographical analyses of their reception. The contributors present findings from current social science research projects on the career development of chemists in particular, analyze career advancement from a sociological perspective, and provide gender-sensitive practical examples.
