This book provides guidance on the income statement and the balance sheet. Whether accounting is done according to HGB, IFRS, or US-GAAP, the income statement and balance sheet are highly informative, but much is not immediately apparent. Both old (prior to the implementation of BilMoG) and new regulations (including BilRUG) are partially treated in parallel, allowing for comparisons as well as continued analysis of historical financial statements over longer time periods. The 6th edition takes into account new legal regulations that come into effect at the beginning of 2018, such as those regarding the tax exemption of restructuring gains or the increase of the low-value asset threshold.
