Product details

The authors demonstrate that construction logistics should be integrated as one of the success factors in the realization of construction projects during the early planning phases. A construction logistics process model developed for practical use is presented, along with a performance profile for construction logistics. The functionality is illustrated with a practical example. For the approval of construction projects in urban areas, the submission of construction logistics concepts is expected to become mandatory in the future. The authors, Dr.-Ing. Fabian Ruhl, completed his civil engineering studies at TU Darmstadt and is responsible for managing the construction management division at an engineering company. He earned his doctorate in 2016 on the topic of construction logistics at TU Darmstadt. Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christoph Motzko has worked in the construction industry internationally on large projects and in management. He has been the managing director since 2003.
