Methods, tools, and systems of computer science have made their way into nearly all professional fields of a modern industrial society after a phase of rapid development in this science, facilitated by the technological and economic advancements of microelectronics. For highly industrialized nations, the connection between computer science and engineering knowledge is particularly significant for enhancing national economic performance and competitiveness. In engineering, the rapid yet economically sensible and practically compatible introduction of CAD technology holds special importance. Given that the previous implementation and experience periods for CAD are very short even for a modern technology, the Society for Computer Science has responded to the users' desire to create a CAD manual to support system selection.
