The authors examine the opportunities of renewable energy sources in the energy market from various perspectives in this book. Using examples, they investigate the potential of renewable energy sources in conjunction with conventional energy supply, outline the associated costs, and analyze the resulting labor market effects. In this context, the authors advocate for a more balanced economic perspective that not only considers the positive labor market effects associated with an increased expansion of resource-saving energies but also incorporates the inevitable declines in demand in certain sectors into the energy policy discussion. Based on their study, the authors also provide recommendations for the expansion of renewable energy systems aimed at decision-makers.
