The contributions of the Commercial Vehicle Technology 2018 are a collection of publications for the 5th CVT Symposium at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern. As in previous years, 2010, 2012, 2014, and 2016, numerous contributions on current developments in the commercial vehicle sector have been compiled into an interesting and informative collection. The contributions are of interest to mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and computer scientists from industry and academia, showcasing the current state of technology in this field. The contents of the publications cover topics such as supported and automated driving and working, energy and resource efficiency, innovative development and manufacturing, safety, reliability, and durability, as well as system simulation.
