Product details

I have only now been able to complete the second volume of my textbook "Construction and Operation of Diesel Engines," which was announced in the preface to the first volume, as I have been heavily occupied with other work in the meantime. Like the first volume, the second part is aimed at students of mechanical engineering, to whom I want to demonstrate how to build diesel engines. This is not a simple craft; it requires great experience, caution, and diligence if one wants to ensure success from both a technical and economic perspective. The responsible designer must constantly verify that all parts, even those that seem secondary, are designed and executed properly, and that nothing jeopardizes the success of the project. I made a particular effort to illustrate this with examples in sections IV and V.
