This volume contains a collection of contributions to the problem of the interaction between mind and matter, one of the central issues in European intellectual history. The perspectives taken are primarily those of physics and psychology. The interaction of these fields is made more evident than ever before in the dialogue between two prominent researchers of this century: physicist Wolfgang Pauli (1900-1958) and psychologist Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961).
