The book deals with the phenomena of tattoos on the human body, which are situated within the context of transversal identity themes and an integrative therapeutic perspective on bodily phenomena. The act of tattooing and being tattooed is an art form and, in the Foucauldian sense, becomes a form of art of living. Tattoo trends are influenced not only by artistic interests but also by market-driven motivations, which can lead to a misunderstanding of self-perception processes. Exclusion and inclusion processes highlight the position of tattoo owners within social communities. Various perspectives on the phenomenon of tattooing are explored, and the connection to the practice and theory of integrative therapy is established.
