The present book originated from the desire to fill the gaps that exist in the methods for calculating rotating disks. While there are many works in the literature that address specific subfields, there is a lack of a comprehensive presentation that connects the individual branches. Therefore, an attempt has been made to provide as complete a compilation as possible, to which the author could contribute insights gained from many years of experience, particularly concerning the disk norms encountered in practice, which do not align with those covered in textbooks. The work in this field naturally led from the rotating disk to the problem of the rotating shell, about which there are only sparse publications, which is why this topic is being addressed for the first time in a comprehensive manner.
