The practical significance of countless cases of medical informed consent stands in stark contrast to the uncertainty of its legal prerequisites. This is particularly true for basic informed consent, which receives little attention compared to the dominant informed consent in general, partly because its scope and content have remained completely unexplored until now. This book clearly presents the liability system for medical informed consent errors and eliminates the legal uncertainty that has arisen from the confusing use of terminology by the judiciary.
