Meike Schulte investigates the extent to which the effectiveness of aphasia therapy can be enhanced in the chronic phase. Against this background, this study tests a combined intervention consisting of a group therapy concept (CIAT-COLLOC NK) and a non-invasive brain stimulation method (tDCS). This combination proves to be highly effective. All participating subjects benefit from the combined intervention. Furthermore, the isolated added value of brain stimulation can predominantly be demonstrated. It also becomes clear that controlling the various influencing factors on this therapeutic framework presents a particular challenge.
