Stefan Harnisch demonstrates, based on a comprehensive case study, how it is possible to make a joint and optimal purchasing decision in complex software procurement processes involving stakeholders from various areas. Furthermore, the author examines whether the expectations that user companies associate with Software as a Service are sustainable in reality. Based on these findings, recommendations for action are derived for both users and software manufacturers.
