Product details
The fifth volume, which concludes the collection of electrical machines, was largely printed and ready by early 1945 when it was destroyed along with all documents in a bombing raid at the printing house. Essentially unchanged, the reprint is now available. The fifth volume covers single-phase machines (Section I) and multi-phase machines (Section II) with commutators, as well as the control sets with induction machines as the primary machine (Section III). In the introductory sections I A and II A, the rotor with a commutator in the alternating field and in the rotating field is discussed first. The fundamentals for the behavior and calculation of the machines are addressed. The following sections are then dedicated to the various types of machines. This is followed by investigations on self-excitation and, as in the other volumes, sections on experimental investigation and design.
