Product details

Thomas Bindel and Dieter Hofmann classify EMSR and PCE site plans as important documents for the design of automation systems. DIN 19227-2 still applies, but DIN 40719-2 has been withdrawn and replaced by DIN EN 81346-2. Since operating resources in EMSR site plans of existing systems were marked according to DIN 40719-2, users face a challenge: they must still understand this standard, but for new systems in EMSR and PCE site plans, they should apply DIN EN 81346-2, which is only gradually being adopted, instead of DIN 40719-2 for reference labeling. The authors shed light on the changes associated with this transition and provide guidance on the use of DIN EN 81346 in the field of automation system design. The authors, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Bindel, teaches automation technology at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.
