This book addresses the application of modern systems theory and the use of digital computers in the development of hydrostatic drives and controls. The starting point is the modeling, which means describing the drive through equations. These equations are examined during the stability analysis to achieve stable, vibration-free operation of the system. Subsequently, the operational behavior is simulated using a digital computer, allowing for optimization of the design based on calculated time signals even before the construction of a prototype. Numerous examples based on industrial tasks illustrate the theory explained in the book.
