Actors of Foreign Cultural Policy (AKP) consistently emphasize their commitment to establishing dialogue on equal terms and fostering collaborative partnerships in international cultural exchange. Based on an analysis of five German-Indian collaborations by the Goethe-Institut, Annika Hampel reflects on programs and projects in the arts as exemplary cases. Aspects of the production processes are explored in relation to the prerequisites and structures involved. As a result, the author presents criteria for Fair Cooperation as a forward-looking cultural policy guideline for an international culture of cooperation.
