This book aims to convey to students and physicians the current state of our knowledge regarding fracture theory. The writing was influenced not only by the practical significance of this crucial branch of injury surgery but also by the realization that various treatment methods have seen remarkable advancements in recent years. It is also important to note that since the publication of standard works (Matti, Bohler), which are essential for specialists, contentious issues have been resolved, not least due to experiences from wartime surgery. The general theory of fractures, which forms the foundation for understanding individual injury consequences, is presented first. In diagnostics, appropriate emphasis is placed on X-ray examinations. Treatment methods are discussed in relation to the different types of fractures.
