The main objective of this volume is to shed light on the current crises and transformation phenomena in Greece and Europe from a Greek-German perspective, to conduct diagnostic analyses, and to outline possible forecasts. Various scholars from Greece and Germany express their views on the current crisis, aiming to formulate new insights from the perspective of their respective disciplines and to stimulate further questions. The contributions focus on analyzing the understanding of the state and crisis from different research fields. Although the current Greek crisis has generated enormous research interest across various disciplines, particularly in economics, due to the state debt and euro crisis, the German social science research is lagging behind the current developments.
