Based on over 20 years of experience in the production of carbide plates and equally long experience in the manufacturing, maintenance, and application of carbide tools, principles have emerged that, although relatively simple to follow, are often insufficiently observed in the workshop. Failures in the use of carbide tools are frequently attributed to the manufacturer of carbide plates. In compiling our experiences in this document, we hope to provide a supplement to the existing guidelines in the field of carbide tool manufacturing and application, as we consider the compilation of economic working conditions for carbide tools from both the perspective of the carbide manufacturer and the consumer.
