Product details

The induction machine is the simplest electrical machine in its design. In the version with a squirrel cage rotor, it has only one winding that is under voltage, making it an extremely reliable machine. Therefore, the induction motor has conquered an extraordinarily large range of applications. Currently, it dominates the field of non-regulated drives as well as drives with low demands for regulation. In an effort to expand the application range of the induction machine, the machine's characteristics have been thoroughly investigated both theoretically and practically over time. While the fundamental behavior of the machine was already researched about 20 years ago and is documented in the well-known book by Richter, recent developments have focused on improving the starting performance.
