Since 2010, the information that has come to light regarding the discourse complex "Sexual Violence Against Boys in Church Institutions and Private Elite Educational Establishments" has been closely followed by a group of former students from the Elly-Heuss-Knapp School in Darmstadt. They too were victims of sexual abuse, perpetrated for decades by the teacher Erich Buss, who worked at this school from 1954 to 1992. Erich Buss was a teacher at the Elly-Heuss-Knapp School for 38 years. In the classes where he was the homeroom teacher, as well as in classes where he taught individual subjects, he made contact with the boys, inviting them to his home under various pretexts—such as homework help, tutoring, music lessons, social support, and nature hikes—and subsequently sexually abused them. They, too, are former students.
