In the lifecycle of construction projects, media breaks during information transfer regularly lead to data losses. The "Intelligent Component" model has been developed as a solution to ensure a continuous data flow without media breaks using RFID technology. This final report on the research project "IntelliBau2" presents the benefits of using RFID technology in precast production. The state of development and the practical applicability of RFID applications in the construction process can be demonstrated through a real pilot project. Various application scenarios showcase the potential of RFID technology during the operational and usage phases of buildings. The findings regarding the effort required to utilize an RFID system in the construction and operation of buildings and structures are surprisingly significant.
